Security Clearance:

  • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD)ย SECRETย personnel security clearance.

Responsibilities:

NSWC PCD serves as the SSA and performs software maintenance supporting fielded software baselines along with the required high speed connectors System Integration Laboratory (SIL) software simulators. The SSA uses an agile Development, Security, and Operations (DEVSECOPS) software development methodology to update, patch, and incorporate new requirements and capabilities.

Experiences:

  • 8 years of experience in computer or software engineering on systems similar to the LCAC C4N.
  • Experience in designing and implementing real-time embedded software intensive code solutions.
  • Experience in testing and debugging software components, including:ย  testing resulting components, and analyzing runtime profiles to debug errors.ย 
  • Experience in integrating software units and components to produce integrated software items consistent with the design.
  • Programming languages: proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

Education Requirements:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant fields, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Marine Engineering.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Other relevant certifications, such as: Certified Software Development Professional (CSEP) by IEEE, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
