Job description

Turner Home Improvement Contractors, LLC, is a reputable exterior home improvement company based in Connecticut, specializing in roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, and other related services. Our dedicated teams operate year-round, delivering top-notch craftsmanship and consistent service with an emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking experienced LEAD carpenters for full-time positions in Glastonbury. We work year-round outside in Connecticut.

Location:
This position requires a daily commute to our HQ:

  • 182 Oakwood Drive, Glastonbury, CT, from there you will be driving a company vehicle to the client's home.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 1-2 people
  • Deck construction, rebuilds, and repairs
  • Window and door installation
  • Exterior carpentry, including replacing rakes and fascia with PVC
  • Other related exterior carpentry tasks as needed
  • Complete all authorized work in a timely manner per the contract while protecting the customer's property from damage
  • Assist in providing daily, detailed progress reports on jobs
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of carpentry experience (preferably in residential exteriors)
  • Must have own hand tools (list can be provided)
  • Must be insurable and possess a valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Able to work overtime / 10+ hour days
  • Ability to lift at least 70 lbs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, with the ability to handle changing priorities
  • Eager to work and able to take direction
