Apprentices work under the supervision of experienced carpenters, learning tasks such as measuring, cutting, installing frameworks, and using various tools safely. The program typically lasts 3-4 years and helps apprentices gain practical knowledge, improve their craftsmanship, and prepare for certification or licensure. Upon completion, apprentices can work as journeymen carpenters and take on more complex projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a carpentry apprentice?

To thrive as a Carpentry Apprentice, you need a basic understanding of construction principles, strong math skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with hand and power tools, blueprint reading, and safety certifications like OSHA 10 are typically required.
