JOB SUMMARY: The Data Warehouse Developer is a member of the IT Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse team and is responsible for directly supporting the daily administration of the Business Intelligence solutions, developing advanced administration and reporting management tools, and guiding the aggressive expansion of our complex Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI/DW) environment. This position provides technical thought leadership both within the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse team and in front of our business leaders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develop, maintain, and administer complex ETL processes using IBM Data Stage

Provide thought leadership on data and system architecture, system administration, schedule management, performance tuning, and expansion

Participate in ongoing DW/BI performance tuning activities

Provide maintenance and 2nd-tier production support for a self-service business intelligence environment

Evaluate and implement products and implement best-practices to enhance our BI/DW solution

Provide expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise's overall data warehouse architecture

Facilitate the development of data integration efforts with the development team

Develop, manage and maintain data models, including physical and logical models of the data warehouse, data marts, development and staging areas and source systems as necessary to meet new and changing business requirements

Automate manual data processes, optimize user queries, and facilitate data research and understanding while partnered with analysts and business specialists.

Build new ETL processes to make new and existing data sources readily available to the business using IBM Data Stage

Create processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality and system stability

Proficiency in SQL including Joins, Inserts, Updates, Creates, Alters, Subqueries, Pivots, Loops, Cases, and basic data transformation functions

Be able to define requirements, analyze data, design solutions, program, test, implement, and train end-users and fellow IT team members

Other duties as directed by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

5 years of experience developing, maintaining and administering IBM InfoSphere Suite

5 years of experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse products

5 years of hands on ETL experience with complicated Data Stage coding and maintenance

Business Objects BI4.X experience desired

Netezza experience desired

5 years of experience with Data Modeling tools such as Erwin desired
