Job description

Zimmerman Associates Inc. (ZAI) has an immediate need for a full-time, General Clerk III under one of our Federal Government contracts supporting FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research located in Silver Spring, MD.  The position is mostly remote but may require the candidate to report to site occasionally.

The qualified candidate will be responsible providing clerical and administrative support to managers and staff, assist with office operations, and handle timekeeping, travel preparation, and data entry. The candidate will maintain filing systems, coordinate logistical details, and prepare necessary paperwork and forms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform clerical duties and assist in a variety of administrative matters such as timekeeping, travel preparation, data entry, maintaining a wide variety of records (stored both manually and electronically), and compiling information
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to managers and staff
  • Assist with office operations, projects, and special assignments, and maintain the filing system
  • Assist with timekeeping needs of the office
  • Coordinate logistical details associated with the departmental operations and prepare paperwork and forms, print and scan documents, and collate material as directed

Position requirements:

  • Must have at least two (2) years of general experience of which one (1) is directly related to job responsibilities
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal, presentation, and written) and a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office.
  • Must type at least 40 WPM.
  • Must have experience using MS Office products to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and other office peripherals such as fax, photocopier, and scanner.
  • Must have one year of experience providing administrative or technical support 
  • Ensure compliance with FDA records management requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and have ability to obtain a government security clearance
