Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Description:
This position is responsible for supporting our Patient Account Representatives in resolving outstanding accounts and providing excellent customer service to our patients. Some knowledge of medical insurance billing processes is preferred. Qualified candidates will have solid organizational abilities and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities include filing claims to primary and secondary payers, contacting insurance companies to verify medical insurance coverage, responding to patient and insurance inquiries, researching and resolving outstanding accounts, posting incoming insurance mail to patient accounts, answering incoming customer service calls, and communicating professionally with patients, insurance companies, and facility personnel.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred, along with one year of previous office experience. Candidates must have at least two years of prior data entry experience and be comfortable using program applications, including Windows. Experience with Epic and proficiency in Excel are preferred.
Candidates must have strong organizational skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They must also be able to meet multiple deadlines consistently, maintain an excellent attendance record, and demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills.
