HIRING NOW! Cash Posting Specialist in Hershey, PA

Our Client, a premier, multi-hospital academic health system dedicated to improving the health and well-being of communities across central Pennsylvania is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cash Posting Specialist to join our financial team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry and reconciliation of all incoming payments. If you thrive in a structured environment and possess strong numerical skills, we want to hear from you!

Role Details

  • Location: Hershey, PA (Onsite)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: $20 - $21/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Payment Entry: Accurately post daily payments, rejections, and adjustments from insurance carriers (ERAs/EOBs) and patients to accounts.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile daily cash receipts and electronic deposits against bank statements.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, underpayments, or misapplied funds.
  • Batch Balancing: Close and balance payment batches daily within the billing system.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the billing and accounts receivable teams to address outstanding payment issues.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in cash posting, medical billing, accounts receivable, or data entry is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in data entry with a high level of mathematical accuracy.
  • Familiarity with explanations of benefits (EOBs) and electronic remittance advices (ERAs) is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized billing or EHR software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet daily deadlines
