Job Title: Customs Broker Manager

Location: Secaucus, NJ (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000 per year

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker Manager to lead and oversee daily brokerage operations. This individual will serve as the Primary Permit Holder for the Brokerage, ensuring full regulatory compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and maintaining operational integrity across all customs activities.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep regulatory knowledge, and hands-on operational expertise in customs clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Primary Permit Holder for the Brokerage, maintaining compliance with all CBP regulations
  • Lead and manage the customs brokerage department
  • Supervise and ensure accurate and timely processing of ISF filings and customs entries
  • Ensure all shipment data (release, billing, classification, valuation) is accurate and compliant
  • Coordinate shipment releases and arrange required transportation or warehousing
  • Handle customs entries for vehicles and personal goods imported via air and ocean
  • Complete daily reports on release and classification activities
  • Maintain shipment data within internal systems
  • Utilize CargoWise for operational and financial functions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate risk, improve processes, and ensure service excellence

Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid U.S. Customs Broker License (required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance operations
  • Prior managerial or supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. customs laws, regulations, and industry practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-departmental coordination skills
  • Proficiency in CargoWise software preferred
