Polsinelli is seeking a Legal Practice Specialist in our Seattle office.
The Legal Practice Specialist will support the IP Department. This role provides high-level, proactive practice and client support to an Intellectual Property Department Shareholder and serves as a key member of the Department Operations team. This position partners closely with department leadership, serving as a liaison between attorneys, paralegals, and administrative teams to ensure the efficient management and execution of the Shareholder's practice and client relationships.
Thie ideal candidate is efficient in and demonstrates a continued willingness to learn and leverage AI tools and is highly organized, resourceful, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced law firm environment. The Legal Practice Specialist anticipates needs, manages competing priorities, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and serves as a trusted operational partner to the Shareholder.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide high-touch support to the Shareholder in managing client relationships and responding to client needs serving as the primary operational point of contact for the Shareholder's practice.
  • Monitor and coordinate the status of client matters, deadlines, deliverables, and other practice-related activities.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, docketing, conflicts, billing, finance, marketing, and other administrative teams to resolve matter-related issues.
  • Prepare and maintain practice reports, dashboards, status updates, and other management information.
  • Coordinate client meetings, calls, presentations, and other client-facing activities.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and maintaining matters in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Identify workflow challenges and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and client service.
  • Assist with coordinating workload, resources, and priorities across matters and teams.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of key clients, matters, attorney teams, and practice priorities.
  • Maintain and update client and matter files, including file openings and conflict checks in InTapp.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, action items, and follow-up communications.
  • May conduct research and analyze data to support preparation of client reports.
  • May be responsible for client-related work and have a billing rate.
  • Annually complete eight (8) hours of continued technical education through the firm's training department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000.
