Salary Range: $30.00 - $34.00 + Performance bonus up to $10.00 an hour.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced mechanical technician in our brass rod production facility in Cicero Il. This role will include, but not limited to, maintenance and repair of production and building mechanical systems throughout the entire facility. All team members will be required to work in all areas of the operation.

DIVISION / DEPARTMENT
Maintenance
TYPE OF POSITION
Full Time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain mechanical systems of facility and production equipment (e.g. gears, belts, chains, cylinders, pumps, hoses, and protective guarding)
  • Team members are expected to take initiative and work collaborative across the entire manufacturing process.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure continuity of production.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding projects, scheduled upgrades, or planned repairs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical field experience.
  • Experience working with automated production equipment, powertrain maintenance, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with safety protocols including LOTO, confined space, overhead rigging, stored energy, and aerial platform work.
  • Read and understand mechanical and hydraulic drawings
  • Running a forklift, man lift, welder, overhead crane, shop tools and maintenance equipment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working maintenance in a production facility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Lifting, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending
  • Able to wear job related PPE including filter masks, protective headgear, fire retardant clothing
