Job description

Position Title: Courier- Full Time, Monday-Saturday

Position Overview:

The primary responsibilities of the Courier position include but may not be limited to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, laundry, and other routine and special healthcare-related errands, as well as transporting ambulatory patients. The Courier is also responsible for the timely pick up of mail and taking outgoing mail to the post office.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Key Responsibilities:

The Courier must be comfortable operating a variety of motor vehicles; and due to the nature of the position, they must be able and willing to drive in inclement weather and adverse road conditions. While the Courier will routinely travel between the main campus and offsite clinics, they may be occasionally required to drive to the extreme eastern portion of North Dakota. They may also shuttle vehicles between the main campus and area airports.

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects, loading and unloading to and from vehicle, into building and sorting.

  • Laundry pick-up and delivery to McKenzie Health Clinic.
  • Daily mail run(s)
  • May be required to take vehicles for repair and routine maintenance.
  • Will help Maintenance when available.

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Clean Driving Record
