BT DRUGS INC, a community-focused cosmetics and wellness retailer in Queens, NY, is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join our team. This role involves dispensing prescription medications, verifying orders, counseling patients on proper medication use, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in supporting our patient-centered approach while collaborating closely with pharmacy technicians and healthcare professionals in a retail pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify prescription orders for safety and correctness
  • Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing
  • Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, storage, and over-the-counter product options
  • Coordinate with prescribers and insurance providers to resolve prior authorizations and clarify prescriptions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory including controlled substances
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations and company policies
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in New York State with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree
