Position Description:

Our Exploration division is growing, and we are looking for an Exploration Geologist I, II, III to join our team! The successful candidate will conduct and supervise geological research, data compilation, mapping, sampling, and interpretation.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Complete and supervise geologic research, data compilation, mapping, sampling, geologic interpretation, 3D modelling, drill program design and execution including RC and core logging.  Geologic work 
  • Projects have clear and appropriate decision points that are adhered to, are completed on time and on budget and require minimal supervision by senior staff
  • QAQC procedures are in place and adhered to
  • Designs follow-up work plans, prepares and assists in preparation of annual budget material
  • Rapidly communicates significant events to senior management
  • Completes monthly progress reports 
  • Preform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required
  • Minimum of one to eight  (1-8) years of experience in mining/mineral exploration preferred
  • Possess a high-level of organization and attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing priorities preferred
  • Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
  • A strong foundation of fundamentals of geology, exploration procedures, business acumen, and commercial skills required
  • Ability to accurately develop complex 3D geologic models using Leapfrog preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in ArcGIS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) preferred
