The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader who enjoys solving problems in real time, driving project execution, and maintaining close engagement with the work in the field rather than managing projects from an office. Responsibilities

  • Lead daily onsite construction activities to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field crews, inspectors, and project stakeholders throughout all phases of construction

  • Support execution of project milestones through disciplined planning, sequencing, and field coordination
  • Maintain continuous communication with project leadership regarding progress, risks, and field conditions
  • Construction Coordination
  • Coordinate installation sequencing across mechanical, electrical, structural, controls, and civil disciplines
  • Support material deliveries, equipment staging, logistics planning, and installation readiness
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure construction activities comply with project specifications and applicable codes
  • Partner with engineering and commissioning teams to resolve field issues and support successful project execution

Safety and Quality

  • Promote and maintain a zero-harm safety culture across all site personnel
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, project safety standards, and site-specific procedures
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel to coordinate inspections, testing, documentation, and punch list completion
  • Support commissioning readiness by ensuring systems are installed correctly and documentation is complete

Cost, Schedule, and Risk Management

  • Monitor labor productivity, subcontractor performance, material utilization, and field costs
  • Identify project risks early and develop practical mitigation strategies
  • Support change management activities by documenting field conditions and assisting with scope evaluations
  • Track progress against project schedules and support recovery planning when necessary

Client and Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary onsite representative with customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Prepare routine reports covering project progress, safety, quality, commissioning readiness, and schedule performance
  • Build positive working relationships while maintaining a professional and solutions-oriented approach throughout project execution

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, field management, or project management supporting industrial, energy, mission critical, manufacturing, or large mechanical infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, field crews, equipment vendors, and customer relationships
  • Strong understanding of construction safety, scheduling, quality management, commissioning, and project documentation
  • Experience supporting cost tracking, labor productivity, change management, and risk mitigation
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work full time onsite in Sweetwater, Texas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting central utility plants, chilled water systems, large HVAC infrastructure, power generation, mission critical facilities, or data centers
  • Experience supporting turnkey or EPC construction projects
  • Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

Physical and Work Environment

  • Full-time onsite role located in Sweetwater, Texas
  • Frequent walking across active construction sites
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Occasional extended work hours during major equipment deliveries, commissioning activities, and project milestones

Compensation and Benefits

  • Employment Type: Full-time W2
  • Daily per diem provided in accordance with project travel requirements
