Project Overview:ย 

Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced, full- time Construction Management Representativeย for theย rehabilitating critical water and wastewater utility systems at Wahweap and Lone Rock within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to replace outdated infrastructure and improve reliability for park operations and visitors.ย The Construction Management Representative would be responsible for observing construction activities, documenting progress, reviewing schedules and costs, and ensuring the contractorโ€™s work complies with contract requirements and quality standards.

This role is contingent upon award of project.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Observe and document construction activities to ensure progress, quality, and compliance with contract plans, specifications, and safety requirementsย 
  • Maintain daily logs and photo documentation of on-site work, including detailed reports of construction progress and issuesย 
  • Review and analyze construction schedules, cost estimates, and contractor proposals for accuracy and adherence to requirementsย 
  • Monitor contractor compliance with safety plans and regulations, documenting any issues and reporting them to the Governmentย 
  • Manage and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, logs, and contract records using the designated CM software systemย 
  • Review progress payment requests and certified payrolls to verify accuracy and compliance with contract and labor requirementsย 
  • Facilitate and document meetings, including progress meetings, inspections, and coordination sessions, ensuring timely meeting notesย 
  • Assist with contract changes, negotiations, and inspections, including preparing scopes, tracking proposals, and supporting project closeout activities

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

Education/Certification:

  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification is required
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and contract documents, supported by relevant education and/or experienceย 

Experience:

  • Experience on construction projects of similar size, scope, and complexity is strongly preferredย 
  • Demonstrated experience in construction management or related roles, including observing and documenting construction workย 
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction contracts, plans, and specificationsย 
  • Experience with construction cost estimating and evaluating contractor proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and pricing breakdownsย 
  • Experience performing and reviewing construction schedule analysis and progress trackingย 
  • Experience managing construction documentation and administrative processes, such as RFIs, submittals, logs, and reportsย 
  • Experience conducting or supporting inspections, meetings, negotiations, and coordination activities throughout construction projectsย 
  • Experience monitoring construction safety practices and compliance with applicable regulations and standards

Key Attributes & Skills:ย 

  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand construction contracts, plans, and specificationsย 
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools, including MS Teams, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and MS Projectย 
  • Solid technical knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulationsย 
  • Capability to analyze cost estimates, proposals, and construction schedules with detailed breakdownsย 
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, including maintaining logs, reports, and project recordsย
