Job description

Technology. Data. Problem-solving. Client Success.

Catalyst Senior Living Solutions is looking for a Systems Analyst to join our Client Success team in Kansas City.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the person who can look at a problem, figure out what's happening, communicate clearly with the people affected, and help get it fixed.

You'll work at the intersection of technology, data, business operations, and client service, partnering with internal teams, clients, and our engineering team to keep systems working reliably and continuously improve the way we work.

What You'll Do

You'll serve as a key resource for system support, troubleshooting, reporting, process improvement, and testing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for system issues raised by internal team members and clients.
  • Triage support requests, determine priority and severity, and escalate issues to engineering or vendors when appropriate.
  • Reproduce system problems and provide engineering teams with clear, repeatable steps for troubleshooting.
  • Review error logs, integration failures, and system alerts to help identify root causes.
  • Track issues through resolution and keep stakeholders informed along the way.
  • Maintain documentation of known issues, workarounds, and resolution procedures.
  • Perform post-release validation to make sure system changes and fixes work as intended.
  • Produce recurring operational and product reports and develop ad hoc reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Metabase.
  • Analyze business data, identify discrepancies, and help ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Translate data findings into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Work with system owners to support accurate data flow and integrations across systems.
  • Assist with application configurations, reference data, and user settings.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and develop clear acceptance criteria.
  • Create and execute test cases, document defects and results, and support solution validation.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-supported improvements.
  • Use approved AI tools responsibly to support research, troubleshooting, documentation, and reporting.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines technical curiosity with strong communication and customer-service skills.

You'll be successful in this role if you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience supporting or working with core operational systems, preferably in application support, systems support, or business analysis.
  • Can independently write and troubleshoot SQL queries against relational data sources.
  • Have experience with CRM and/or ticket/issue-tracking systems.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis.
  • Are comfortable interpreting both structured and unstructured data.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and care deeply about data accuracy.
  • Can identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
  • Can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a strong commitment to customer service, collaboration, and follow-through.
  • Handle sensitive business information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Helpful Experience

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent direct experience may be considered.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Tableau
  • Metabase
  • CRM platforms
  • Ticketing/issue-management systems
  • Application and integration error logs
  • Python or other scripting/automation tools
  • Low-code/no-code platforms
  • Business requirements and functional specifications
  • Software testing and acceptance criteria
Why This Role Matters

At Catalyst, systems aren't just technology—they're part of how we serve our clients and support the people who depend on us.

When data doesn't flow correctly, a report isn't accurate, an integration fails, or a system isn't behaving as expected, someone needs to figure out why.

That's where you come in.

You'll have the opportunity to solve problems, improve processes, turn data into useful information, and help make our systems—and ultimately our client experience—better.
