This Position reports to:

Business Intelligence Manager

As a Business Intelligence & Data Specialist, you will prioritize data quality and management as the foundation of all business intelligence operations. You'll ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all systems while addressing technical issues and supporting emergency resolutions. Your expertise will enable you to create and maintain ad-hoc and automated reports that deliver actionable insights. You'll also maintain comprehensive documentation and standardization to ensure consistency and usability, while managing access controls and security to meet compliance requirements. This role is essential for enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
This role is contributing to the Electrification, Installation Products Division in Canada and is located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

The work model is hybrid, with 2 days per week at the office.
Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets; query databases using SQL to extract, validate, and transform data while ensuring accuracy and consistency across all BI systems
  • Identify and implement data quality standards; implement anomaly detection and data governance principles
  • Serve as the front-line point of contact for BI bugs and technical issues; perform investigations and diagnose application problems
  • Support IT teams and vendors in resolving emergencies and provide business/process knowledge to expedite resolution
  • Create and maintain reports tailored to business needs; design interactive dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making
  • Optimize report performance and support ad-hoc reporting requests for stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive BI documentation including processes, procedures, and system configurations; standardize BI interfaces across systems
  • Document best practices and create training materials for end users; maintain security group reviews and access controls
  • Support compliance and governance requirements related to data access; identify improvements to enhance access management efficiency and security


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with multiple BI platforms and tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Bilingual French-English. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation; strong experience with data analysis, data quality management, and data quality tools
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, data governance frameworks, and compliance principles
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in data environments with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Customer service orientation with proven ability to support end users and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to urgent issues, and collaborate effectively with IT teams.
