Overview

Bluewater Federal is looking for a Software Engineer / Application Developer to support the USAF at Maxwell AFB.

The Base Maintenance (BMx) Family of Systems program provides critical lifecycle support for enterprise U.S. Air Force logistics and maintenance systems that enable global mission readiness and sustainment operations.


Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, sustain, and modernize BMx software capabilities supporting FMxC2, IMDS/IMDS-MSM, FEM, and PAMS operational workflows.
  • Support Agile sprint execution across cloud-native, web, middleware, API, database, and legacy application environments while ensuring code changes align to operational mission requirements, cybersecurity controls, DevSecOps governance, and release-readiness standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years software development experience. Experience supporting enterprise systems.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Experience with Java, C#/.NET, Python, REST APIs, SQL, Web services, CI/CD integration, Automated testing support, Agile development
  • Security+, Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are preferred.
  • DevSecOps pipeline integration experience preferred.
