In this position you will serve as a consultant and technical expert to senior subject matter specialists and/or agency officials responsible for broad program operations. Serves as a technical expert for the organization and provides status and advisory services to superiors on problems, issues, and projects in assigned program areas. Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to project or program support. Conclusions and recommendations have a direct impact on management plans and decisions regarding policies and procedures. Remains mindful of new technology and revolutionary changes in research and development to ensure proper emphasis during the phases of life-cycle support. Performs professional computer science work by application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes to the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support systems. Applies expert knowledge and mastery to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives, costs, schedules, performance criteria, and existing policies. Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates significant and complex projects which represent critical segments of major operating programs to include standalone and integrated software systems such as embedded computer systems, automated test systems/test program sets, mission planning software, modeling and simulation software, database software, application software, and firmware concerned with communication, computation, diagnostics, sensing, control, targeting, measurement, and navigation of airborne and ground weapon systems or communication, computation and control of non-weapon system business software systems and applications. Performs duties involved in research, development, testing, evaluation, operation, maintenance, and fielding/installation of standalone and integrated software systems as well as support systems.

Requirements:
1. Obtain & maintain a security clearance
2. Computer Science degree at the bachelor's level from an institution with an ABET accredited program or a closely related field is highly desired.
3. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
1. Knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and materials of professional computer science, and knowledge of other technical disciplines to effectively apply computer software, software systems and computer hardware architectural theories, principles, and concepts to areas of responsibility.
2. Knowledge of the principles of planning, program management, and standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization.
5. Ability to research, evaluate, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Proven full stack web application development experience, delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Strong front end development skills using modern JavaScript frameworks, with a preference for Angular.
• Solid background in C# and .NET application development, including object oriented design and enterprise level coding practices.
• Hands on experience building and maintaining .NET based APIs, with a focus on performance, security, and clean architecture.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in Azure cloud environments, including managing cloud pipelines, environments, and CI/CD workflows; building automated end to end and unit tests; and working within an Agile Scrum framework is a significant plus.
