Overview

Nakupuna Solutions and the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Chief Information Officer (SUP 06) has the responsibility of insuring NAVSUP Headquarters (NAVSUP HQ) has the capability to fully utilize the Information Technology (IT) available to the command. This responsibility includes liaison services between the NMCI contractor and the NAVSUP HQ end-user community. NAVSUP SUP 06 plans and provides innovative IT services for NAVSUP HQ as it relates to NMCI/NGEN. Contractor commitment is needed in the preparation and processing of NMCI/NGEN documentation, hands-on technical and hardware support, and training of our end users.

Responsibilities

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

The contractor will provide NAVSUP HQ ACTR assistance as related to NMCI activities in the following areas:

Program Management Assistance:

  • Maintain metrics, administration, planning, inventory and execution documentation and spreadsheets.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of NAVSUP HQ NMCI/NGEN financial requirements.
  • Assist the ACTR in NMCI order processing; on average 4 or 5 contract task order modifications per year.
  • Assist the ACTR in the tracking and maintenance of the NMCI loaner laptop pool, iOS devices, Multi-Function Devices, and external hard drives.
  • Maintain the NMCI computer inventory and order history.
  • Track and report on Missing, Lost, Stolen or Damaged (MLSD) items and assist end users in proper reporting and processing paperwork for replacement.
  • Process an average of 50 Move, Addition, Arrival, Departure (MAAD) service requests per month.
  • Prepare, submit, and track an average of 95 Service Requests Forms (eSRF) in NET per month.

Technical Assistance:

  • Assist the end users, helpdesk and Site Operations personnel with technical diagnostics and remediation, requiring a basic knowledge of IT hardware and software and performance.
  • Occasional relocation (disconnecting and reconnecting) of IT equipment, mainly laptops with associated peripherals. Candidate must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
  • Assist NMCI/NGEN contractors with oversight of hardware technical refresh, to include ordering and deployment.

Meeting Participation:

  • Contractor will assist the ACTR by actively participating in meetings, conferences, and reviews such as the bi-weekly ACTR and HP meetings.
  • In the absence of the ACTR, the contractor will be required to protect NAVSUP HQ interests concerning technical and program issues.
  • Contractor will develop meeting agendas and post meeting minutes as part of this facilitation function.

Communications:

  • Contractor will support the ACTR in development and execution of communications relating to NMCI/NGEN end user technology issues of particular concern and will educate the work force in the various procedures that impact business processes. This will require developing written documentation and one-on-one training on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications

Skills/ Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience in IT support services desired. Minimum 2 years of college in IT-related curriculum desired. Excellent technical skills, organizational and planning skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, Problem analysis, attention to detail and accuracy, solid judgment, decision-making ability, takes initiative, and is adaptable.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have a favorably completed National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) including a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check prior to installation access.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
