Department: Marketing Job Summary Advances Owensboro Health's brand, reputation and strategic priorities through media relations, storytelling, content development, digital communications and social media leadership. This position develops and executes communication strategies that increase awareness of Owensboro Health's services, providers, employees and community impact across owned, earned and shared channels. The role serves as a trusted communications advisor, cultivates relationships with media partners and internal stakeholders and creates compelling content that strengthens audience engagement and organizational visibility.

Job Responsibilities

Develops, leads and executes integrated communication strategies, initiatives and campaigns that support organizational goals, strengthen Owensboro Health's reputation, enhance brand awareness and increase audience engagement. Serves as a primary media contact by managing media inquiries, cultivating relationships with journalists, coordinating interviews and identifying opportunities for earned media coverage.

Creates, edits and distributes content and develops communication plans, key messages, presentations, talking points and related materials to support organizational priorities, campaigns and strategic initiatives. Leads social media strategy and content planning, ensuring consistent messaging, audience engagement and alignment with brand standards and organizational priorities.

Collaborates with providers, leaders, service lines and other stakeholders to identify, develop and promote stories that highlight Owensboro Health's people, services, expertise and community impact. Develops communication plans, key messages, presentations, talking points and other materials to support strategic initiatives, campaigns and organizational priorities. Monitors media coverage, social media performance, audience engagement and communication trends, providing recommendations that improve effectiveness and visibility.

Assists with crisis communications, reputation management and sensitive communication issues by supporting timely, accurate and coordinated messaging. Coordinates photography, videography, multimedia storytelling, media events, community outreach activities and other communication initiatives as needed. Ensures all communications are accurate, audience-focused, aligned with organizational priorities, compliant with applicable regulations and consistent with Owensboro Health's brand and values.

Proactively identifies opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, reputation and audience engagement. Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Proficiency in basic video editing and graphic design software.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, verbal, oral, and presentation skills. Requires an in-depth understanding of the specialized concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the specialization as well as business needs to recommend appropriate action.

Position Requirements Work Experience: A minimum of 4 years' relevant experience required Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing required upon hire OR Bachelor's degree or higher in related field required upon hire Additional Education Information: A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
