Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial aid or compliance-related roles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a state college or public higher education setting.
  • Experience with student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, or similar).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Financial Aid Services leadership to monitorand interpret federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations (Title IV, FWS, IWS, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies through regular audits and file reviews.
  • Support updates to financial aid systems (PeopleSoft) to reflect regulatory changes and institutional policies.
  • Collaborate with IT and Financial Aid staff to test and validate system updates.
  • Update and develop and maintainrequired documentation for compliance procedures and system processes.
  • Assist in preparingfor internaland external audits, including data validation and reporting.
  • Identify areas of risk and recommend corrective actions or process improvements to the Financial Aid Services leadership team.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related topics.
  • Assist with responding to FSA Complaints, Borrower Defense Claims, servicer requests, etc.
  • Ensure office policies and procedures that promote transparency and accountability.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to leverage known resources to stay current on federal and state financial aid regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools.
