Job description

About the Role

Bassett Maple Co. is a growing Michigan manufacturer of maple syrup evaporators and equipment for backyard sugarmakers. We're hiring a full-time CNC Press Brake Operator to join our small, motivated production team in a clean, organized shop, forming and fabricating the evaporators and accessories we ship nationwide.

What You'll Do

Operate a modern CNC press brake to form sheet metal parts to spec. Perform welding and general fabrication work when the laser cutter isn't actively feeding the queue. Work from physical samples, cut sheets, and hands-on training to consistently produce accurate, high-quality parts. Maintain tight tolerances and catch errors before they become wasted material. Work alongside our existing shop team in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of hands-on experience operating a CNC press brake preferred. Welding experience required (MIG preferred). Strong attention to detail, this role requires consistent precision without relying on formal prints or drawings. Ability to work independently once trained on our processes. Reliable, comfortable in a small-shop environment where you'll wear a few hats. A team player who takes ownership of quality and output. CNC Laser experience is a plus too!

Why Join Us

Competitive pay at $30/hour. Stable, full-time, year-round work for a growing local manufacturer. Small, motivated team in a clean, organized shop, real impact, your work directly drives what we ship every week. Room to develop skills across multiple fabrication processes.

Company Description

We’re a small, modern metal fabrication shop looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator/Fabricator to join our team. If you take pride in your work, attention to detail, and want steady work in a low-stress environment — this is the job.

You’ll be fabricating parts for two growing Michigan manufacturing brands, working in a clean, organized shop with new equipment and a small, supportive team.
