Description
  • Sodick Operation & Setup: Set up, program, and operate Sodick CNC Wire EDM machines to produce high-quality precision parts.
  • Controls & Programming: Utilize Sodick-specific controls (and Smart Pulse generators) to input parameters, manage cutting conditions, and make real-time adjustments.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to determine part specifications and tolerances.
  • Quality Inspection: Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and optical comparators to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance unique to Sodick systems, including managing dielectric fluid/deionization, wire threading systems, and guide maintenance.

Troubleshooting: Monitor machining processes, recognize deviations, and adjust offsets or programming to resolve issues on the fly
Requirements
Sodick Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically setting up and operating Sodick Wire EDM machines
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Sodick CNC controls, G-code, and machine shop math.
Precision: Proven ability to work with tight tolerances and inspect your own work.
Independence: A self-starter who can review a blueprint, set up the machine, select the correct technology files, and run the job with minimal supervision
