A Field Service Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels by performing repairs. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on our team to repair, inspect and troubleshoot their equipment.Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in Omaha, NE area include:Conducts high quality, efficient and timely repair and installation of CNC machinesUses software and electrical tools to find damaged work parts and identifies permanent solutions to repair CNC machines and accessoriesRecommend modifications and improvements to CNC machines, equipment and processesTrains and instructs customers on service, repair and proper installationTraveling to customer sites, usually within 3 hours from home, with occasional overnight travelAbility to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basisQualifying Skills:Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:4 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical experienceExperience repairing CNC machines (Preferred)Ability to work independently, a go getter that finds the next customer that needs our help Good driving record and valid driver's license to ensure fleet vehicle insurabilityDependable time managementFormal education or training in troubleshooting, repair and installation of CNC Machines (Preferred)The Organization and Our BenefitsOur team of over 200 professionals throughout the U.S. is dedicated to helping manufacturers control and power the growth of their business.
