Our product line ranges from all types of conveyor belting, conveying equipment and components, belting accessories, hose and fitting products, plastics, gasket, and power transmission products.


Job Summary:


The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for programming commands for CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machines and making sure that the commands work properly and achieve the desired results, including the standard setup and operation of machinery in the fabrication process with oversight from production leaders in accordance with and in conformance to quality standards.


This position is also expected to perform various operations in the process of fabricating of conveyor belting by performing routine activities including but not limited to, safe operation of various fabricating tools, material handling, housekeeping, and special projects within a defined are. Responsibilities also include knowledge and involvement in lean, team, and safety activities.


Responsibilities Includes:


  • D Programming and basic setup of CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of working properties of machinery and materials used.
  • Ability to read gauges and calipers.
  • Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production.
  • Set-up and calibration of equipment and accessories.
  • Fix basic mechanical errors of the CNC machines.
  • Quality control of machine output.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to create workable prototypes for Research & Development and tooling.
  • Supervise Machine Operators
  • Log and record readings for equipment and procedures.
  • Able to proficiently operate all and trains machine operator to documented and stated standards including the loading and unloading of equipment and materials into the machine.
  • Monitors and tracks machine adjustments to achieve the correct dimensions , finishes, and quality.
  • Trouble issues and perform any necessary machine adjustments in a safe manner.
  • Evaluating tooling effectiveness
  • Effectively evaluate and measure product created in conformity to standards.
  • Assist other departments – minimally proficient in slitting, lacing, V-guide application, and PVC Thermoweld.
  • Read, understand, and follow appropriate “Quality Control procedures” for any department where work is being performed.
  • Respect, protect, support, company culture.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Report any work-related incident or accident that causes harm or injury to you or your team members.
  • Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:


The Business Process & Integration Coordinator may lift and / or move up to 15 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.


Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this position, the Computer and Information Technology Manager will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.







Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time position in office, shop, and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent travel, overnight, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.
