Summit Products has a 2nd shift CNC Laser Operator 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:30am ( Friday's as needed)
Qualifications
  • Candidates must be accommodating in a team environment, and have a great working attitude
  • Ability to interpret blue prints
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team setting depending on task
  • Candidate must be reliable, regular attendance is required
  • Excellent work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements
  • Full time position, 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:30am ( Friday's as needed)
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities
  • The position requires the programming, setting up, and scheduling of sheet metal parts for laser cutting
  • This individual will work closely with the laser operators as well as Fabrication supervisor to determine priorities and also the Purchasing Department to maintain inventory of raw materials
  • Nest and schedule laser cutting jobs
  • Assist laser operators at machines
  • Minimize waste and optimize use of full sheets of steel
  • Generate fabrication drawings and parts
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
  • Requires frequent standing, walking and bending
