Position Summary
The Production Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the Production Leads and Production Associates within the distribution center, ensuring efficient, accurate, and cost-effective processing of the production operation. This role is responsible for coordinating workflows, supervising production staff, monitoring inventory accuracy, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The supervisor collaborates closely with cross functional teams-including procurement, transportation, and customer care to optimize processes, resolve operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to support our production team as a hand-on leader of our production team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates team pod huddles and meetings, reviewing staffing levels, communicating goals daily updates, addressing issues, and maintaining operational supply, shipping, and storage standard to ensure team meets or exceeds throughput and quality targets.
  • Leads and mentors teams with a strong onsite presence, driving accountability, resolving challenges, and improving processes
  • Ensures employees meet or exceed compliance, safety, and clear performance goals; coaching and developing employees for growth
  • Completes onboarding, performance management, and offboarding of employees, as needed
Qualifications
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or related field (Preferred)
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician license (Preferred)
  • Association of Supply Chain Management (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, or CTSC) or Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification (Preferred)
  • Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in production, warehouse, or logistics, with 3 years of experience in a leadership role (Required)
  • Project management experience (Preferred)
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, and transportation operations; OSHA and workplace safety regulations, ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder); inventory control methods (cycle counts, FIFO/LIFO, WMS processes), and shipping/receiving procedures and documentation (Required)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts (5S, Kaizen, etc.) and supply chain principles and logistics best practices (Preferred)
  • Strong conflict resolution and team building skills (Required)
  • Effective delegation and workload planning skills (Required)
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis skills (Required)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (Required)
  • Strong cross department collaboration (business development, account management procurement, customer care, HR, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate instructions, updates, and performance expectations to teams
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and coach employees (Required)
  • Ability to analyze KPIs, productivity reports, and operational data (Required)
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) (Required)
  • Ability to use and troubleshoot warehouse technology (scanners, RF devices) (Preferred)

Work Environment
  • Location: On-site
  • Schedule: 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with additional flexibility required during night and weekend hours on occasion as determined by the needs of the business and cross-facility travel as needed
  • Regular meetings with Production Associates and Production Supervisor to ensure alignment
  • Warehouse environment with potential exposure to dust, temperature fluctuations, and loud equipment with PPE provided and required when applicable
Key Essential Functions
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours a day and up to 10 hours per day during peak periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30-50 pounds with or without assistance on occasion
  • Must perform repetitive motions for an entire shift (bending, reaching, lifting, scanning labels, packing boxes) on occasion
  • Must be able to work onsite for all scheduled shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and moderate noise.
