Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a Production Control Manager to oversee the daily planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities supporting a Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) program for the US Army. This role ensures production lines run safely, efficiently, and in alignment with engineering requirements, customer expectations, and mission deadlines. The Production Control Manager is responsible for supervising production staff, coordinating equipment maintenance, reviewing engineering process changes, and optimizing operational resources. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that production operations meet quality, schedule, cost, and safety objectives within a dynamic manufacturing and repair environment.
This position is located in Aberdeen, MD.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Production Operations & Scheduling
. Oversee day-to-day production schedules, plant activities, and workflow execution
. Manage production planning to meet program deadlines, operational goals, and customer requirements
. Monitor production status and proactively address delays, bottlenecks, or resource constraints
Process Review & Engineering Coordination
. Review engineering-recommended process changes and assess alignment with production goals
. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with technical standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements
. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve process issues or implement improvements
Equipment Maintenance & Readiness
. Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of machines and production equipment
. Minimize downtime through planned maintenance and timely response to equipment issues
. Ensure all machinery and tools meet safety standards and operational requirements
Compliance, Quality & Safety
. Ensure production processes adhere to professional, safety, and regulatory standards
. Participate in development and implementation of plant safety programs
. Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
Resource & Budget Management
. Monitor production budgets, material usage, and operational resource allocation
. Recommend cost-saving measures, efficiency improvements, or process optimizations
. Track labor hours, equipment utilization, and production KPIs
Staff Leadership & Development
. Supervise, train, and develop production staff across shifts or teams
. Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and implement corrective actions when needed

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Education
. AA/AS degree from an accredited college or technical school in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
. Substitutions allowed:
- One academic year of related accredited coursework may substitute for one year of experience
Experience
. 6+ years of experience working in a repair, manufacturing, or production plant
. At least 2 years of experience in a production supervisory or team-lead role
. Experience coordinating production schedules, resources, or manufacturing operations
Technical Skills & Knowledge
. Understanding of production planning, workflow control, and resource coordination
. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and shop operations
. Ability to interpret engineering documentation and apply process changes effectively
. Knowledge of safety standards, quality systems, and operational compliance requirements
Leadership & Communication Skills
. Ability to lead, train, and mentor production teams in a fast-paced environment
. Strong communication skills for coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and program leadership

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 - $139,300.00.
