Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
Full Time, Nights
$15,000 Sign on Bonus for qualified individuals
The Sleep Center is accredited through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is a 4-bed outpatient diagnostic testing facility available to patients 13 years of age and older. We provide both in-lab polysomnography and home sleep testing services. In-lab studies include diagnostic polysomnography, pap titration studies, split-night studies, Multi Sleep Latency tests, and Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests. Studies are analyzed and sent to our Board Certified Sleep Physicians for interpretation. results are provided to the referring providers in order to facilitate the necessary treatment. Sleep education services with clinical sleep educators are also available.
Job Description:
  • Must perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis. This may involve polysomnography, diagnosis and therapeutic services, patient care and education.
  • Tech is responsible for in-depth troubleshooting and management of polysomnographic equipment, PAP therapy or other treatment modalities such as hypoglossal nerve stimulators.
  • Tech is responsible for the timely analysis of polysomnographic studies and generation of concise, detailed summary reports for review by the Medical Staff for confirmation of diagnosis.
  • Will perform polysomnographic procedures, such as PSG, MSLT, or MWT.
  • Answering home sleep test calls pertaining to equipment issues and assisting patient with troubleshooting. Tech will also help in preparation, education and scoring analysis of home sleep testing.
  • Must aid in the ordering of supplies and equipment maintenance.
  • May also be required to aid in training staff and will provide oversight as needed.

Requirements:
  • Must possess a solid knowledge base in the clinical application of Polysomnographic studies.
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Successful completion of a Polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited education facility; or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist.
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist
  • Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
  • Must maintain active Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
