Job Summary:
The Service Technician at Dutch Miller Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in South Charleston, West Virginia is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry. This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled labor tasks related to repairing and maintaining vehicles. As a Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of makes and models of vehicles and utilize the latest technology to diagnose and repair vehicles.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly position with a compensation range of $22 to $35 per hour, paid monthly. In addition, our company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on vehicles
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose problems
- Perform repairs and services in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate with Service Advisors and customers regarding repairs
- Complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and maintain accurate records
- Ensure work area is clean and organized
- Continuously seek out and participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry advancements and techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
