POSITION SUMMARY

Teachers at Regents School of Austin inspire students to grow in their love for Christ and His created order, discovering truth, goodness, and beauty in every area of learning through our Classical, Christian curriculum.

In this role, teachers instruct, disciple, and mentor students in alignment with the Objectives outlined in Article II, helping them flourish spiritually, intellectually, and relationally.

Teachers partner closely with parents and colleagues to prepare students for life beyond Regents-equipped to think critically, love deeply, and serve faithfully.

Lead Students Before Class

  • Develop thoughtful lesson and unit plans rooted in the mission of Regents.

  • Set clear learning objectives and behavior expectations grounded in love and logic.

  • Design procedures that maximize learning time and model order and excellence.

Lead Students During Class

  • Create a joyful, disciplined, and engaging learning environment.

  • Inspire curiosity and wonder through lively discussions and meaningful instruction.

  • Demonstrate compassion by listening, encouraging, and creating safety for intellectual and spiritual risk-taking.

  • Maintain a neat, orderly, and inspiring classroom atmosphere.

  • Uphold school rules consistently and graciously.

  • Disciple students through authentic relationships.

  • Stays up-to-date in and frequently talks with his/her students about what activities/extracurriculars they participate in.

Lead Students After Class

  • Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to close learning gaps.

  • Reflect on teaching effectiveness and seek feedback for continuous growth.

  • Use assessment data to refine instruction and strengthen student understanding.


Successful candidates will live out a Christian lifestyle and demonstrate a Christ-centered worldview in daily actions. Teachers will create a healthy, nurturing classroom environment where students can flourish spiritually, intellectually, and relationally.

Qualifications and Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred)

  • Three to five years of teaching Geometry preferred

  • Experience working with Middle School students

  • Christian maturity that demonstrates a desire and capacity to create a healthy classroom environment

Additional Skills and Expertise:

  • Ability to align curriculum with Lower and Upper School

  • Strong understanding of pedagogical skills and objectives in a classical, Christian model

  • Ability to interact with students, parents, faculty, and administrators with compassion, integrity, and professionalism

  • Experience integrating curricular education with biblical spiritual formation and discipleship

  • High level of self-awareness, communication skills, and emotional composure
