Pay Range: $38.02 - $55.18 per hour

Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the creation of annual RU operational budget (inclusive of all relevant financial projections/analysis), and management of month end reconciliation processes for all RU departments. The Senior Financial Analyst collaborates with staff within the clinical/research/education departments to ensure accurate, complete, and consistent financial management/develop action plans if necessary. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree.
•Two years of experience in research administration or in a financial analysis/accounting function.
•Experience in strategic planning and budgeting.
•Experience in complex data set construction.
•Experience presenting to senior leadership, and development of meeting materials
•Advanced with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Demonstrated resourcefulness and attention to detail.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities:
•Participates in the creation of the annual operational budget for RU, for all departments.
•Responsible for month end reconciliation process with all research/education departments in RU.
•Generates detailed internal and external reports detailing faculty productivity.
•Reviews all annualized projections from all RU departments.
•Reviews all external funding levels in all research departments.
•Participates in management of the RU research formula.
•Works closely with Principal Investigators and study staff for timely resolution of requests and provides training as needed.
•Collaborates with all departmental finance leads to ensure communication and business processes are up to date.
•Communicates effectively and serves as a subject matter expert on the RU operational budget.
•Maintains a database of all external funding, research productivity, and tuition revenue.
•Acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
•Works collaboratively with college financial representatives on programmatic profitability analysis, tuition pricing, and student indebtedness analysis.
