Gray Line Tennessee is Nashville's Leader in Transportation with over 250 vehicles in the fleet and over 300 employees dedicated to providing safe, authentic, and professional transportation services. We currently operate five distinct businesses, all of which are oriented toward safety, quality, and customer service.
Position Overview:
Chauffeurs safely transport our clients in a fleet of late-model luxury vehicles, in the way that represents our dedication, professionalism, and service. The ideal candidate to join our select group of chauffeurs is ambitious, passionate, and above all else proud to join Middle Tennessee's largest and most recognized ground transportation provider.
Schedule:
  • Full time, non-exempt
  • We are open 24/7 - 365 Days a year
  • Variable hours and weekend work

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safely drive guest to/from destinations, per their reservation.
  • Always maintains the vehicle for guest readiness, including daily maintenance checks, and reporting operating problems.
  • Pre-plans routes and requirements by studying schedule or special requests.
  • Determines occupant and luggage requirements.
  • Checks road conditions and estimates travel times.
  • Willingly assists guests in/out of vehicle, and loads/unloads luggage.
  • Operates the vehicle in a manner of safety and professionalism.
  • Always maintains client and information confidentiality.
  • Reports accidents or vehicle damage immediately to management.
  • Increases job knowledge by participating in education opportunities.
  • Maintains and effectively communicates trip billing charges.

Education, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 9+ years of driving experience with F endorsement.
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude and team player.
  • Outstanding communication/customer service skills, written and verbal.
  • Dependable and detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance; respects confidentiality.
  • Must have a valid DOT Health card.
  • Favorable driving record as per Insurance Industry standards.
  • Proficiency in safety management.
  • Excellent map interpretation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operation maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization, using clear and concise English.
  • Ability to compute basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Computer skills and experience working from a tablet.
  • Working knowledge of driving routes and geographical locations in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Previous Chauffeur experience.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Clean driving record and can pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • 9+ years of driving experience with F endorsement.
