Job description

Inova Fairfax Hospital is hiring a full time RN to join their Cardiac Diagnostics team! This is day shift role Monday-Friday; working 4x9 hour shifts per week. Shift start times vary from 0630 and 0700.  No night, weekend or holiday requirement. 

Our nurses assist with cardiac testing for outpatients and inpatients to include trans esophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, tilt table tests (TTTs), and cardiac stress tests. Prior acute care experience will be required, and cardiac, critical care or procedural experience is preferred for this position. 

The RN will assist with TEE's, stress testing, and cardioversions for both the inpatient and outpatient settings. You will assist in both the prep and recovery of patients undergoing TIVA/general anesthesia for these procedures and will work closely with a great team of anesthesiologists, cardiologists, and echo techs to perform these procedures.

Cardiac Diagnostics RN Qualifications:

  • Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Certification - Basic Life Support through AHA
  • Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse

  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Cardiac Diagnostics Preferred Qualifications:

  •  3+ years RN experience to include acute care experience: cardiac, critical care or procedural experience, rapid response, MSET experience.
