Job Summary:

We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Cannabis Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our cannabis pre-roll, & flower manufacturing. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the entire production process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining product quality, production and efficiencies, and leading our dynamic production teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight:
  • Manage the end-to-end production process, from material inputs and refinement to formulation and packaging;
  • Guarantee adherence to state regulations in all production activities;
  • Oversight, training, and continuous development of production supervisors;
  • Maintain manufacturing machine(s) run and production efficiencies, problem solving machine errors and outages;
  • Managing labor resources to efficiently keep production lines at optimization.
  • Menu management: Making sure all sku' are fully stocked at all times;
  • Sales menu support: Keeping inside and outside sales team abreast of menu updates, and restock schedule.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and train the production teams, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement;
  • Nurture a collaborative and supportive work environment for optimal team performance;
  • Develop performance KPIs across all production lines, ensuring team adherence;
  • Process and workflow standardization development & improvement
  • Quality Control:
  • Implement robust quality control measures to ensure product consistency and purity;
  • Collaborate closely with the production team supervisors to address any quality concerns promptly.
  • Collaboration and Planning:
  • Work closely with our cultivation and sales departments to meet market demands and maintain optimal lean inventory levels;
  • Develop and manage production budgets, schedules, and timelines for streamlined operations;
  • Identify cost savings opportunities, through streamlining and automation.
  • Innovation and Efficiency:
  • Monitor and if needed, integrate cutting-edge technologies and methods to enhance production efficiency and elevate product quality;
  • Stay informed about industry trends to drive continuous improvement in production processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business management, or related certifications;
  • A minimum of 3 -5 years of managerial experience in cannabis product manufacturing or a related industry;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product production processes (+ if knowledge is in cannabis pre-roll and or flower production);
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices /standards in (+ cannabis) product manufacturing;
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in production management and planning software / tools (e.g. ERP, Google Sheets, Excel, Metric, Distru);
  • Experience managing at least a team of 50 (production workers & supervisors).
  • Process development, improvement and deployment.
  • Some project management.
