Effective communication and a positive attitude are essential for building rapport with golfers and providing valuable advice on the course. Developing strong organizational skills and learning to anticipate players' needs can help caddies manage their workload efficiently and ensure a smooth round.

Bandon, OR

Full-time

Job description

Join Our Team as a Caddie Supervisor at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort!

Are you ready to step into a key role at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort? As a Caddie Supervisor, you'll be the go-to person on the ground, coordinating caddie assignments, handling logistics, and ensuring smooth daily operations. You'll work alongside our caddie team, interact with guests, and help maintain the high service standards that make Bandon Dunes special. This is a hands-on, on-your-feet, hourly role for someone who thrives in a changing environment.

About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:
Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to two 'Courses with a Mission': Bandon Preserve, an award-winning par-3 course, and Shorty's, which opened in 2024. All net proceeds from both courses fund the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation, supporting communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

Beyond premier golf, guests delight in a variety of dining options at Bandon Dunes’ collection of restaurants. Whether you're looking to enjoy locally-sourced, Pacific-Northwest cuisine accompanied by an award-winning wine list, or prefer kicking back in a Scottish-style setting with traditional pub fare and local microbrews, there is something for everyone.

Working at Bandon Dunes is a dream for golf fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and hospitality professionals alike. The Bandon Dunes team works together to create trips of a lifetime for our guests. We are passionate stewards of our resort, our community, and our environment. As an endlessly curious group, we ask questions, share ideas, and always look for a better way. With a hard-working attitude, we help guide our guests through their pure golf experience, immersed in Oregon’s natural beauty and away from the demands of daily life.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coordinate daily caddie operations. Assign caddies to groups, arrange transportation to courses, and adapt quickly when schedules change or issues arise.
  • Be the face of caddie services. Greet guests on the deck, answer questions about caddie services by phone or radio, and provide a welcoming, professional presence.
  • Keep things organized. Track caddie assignments, monitor their arrivals and departures, and ensure everyone is where they need to be, when they need to be there.
  • Support the caddie team. Answer questions, provide information about policies and procedures, and help caddies understand daily expectations and uniform requirements.
  • Stay in constant communication. Work with pro shops, guests, and on-course staff via phone and radio to coordinate logistics and address any service needs.
  • Handle the unexpected. Troubleshoot last-minute changes, respond to guest requests, and keep operations running smoothly even during busy periods.
What You’ll Bring:
  • A passion for guest service and creating memorable experiences. You enjoy interacting with guests and want to be part of their Bandon Dunes experience.
  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, or the golf industry is preferred but not required. We value people who are eager to learn and contribute.
  • Strong communication skills. You're comfortable talking with guests, caddies, and staff—whether in person, on the phone, or via radio.
  • The ability to stay organized under pressure. You can juggle multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and keep your cool during busy times.
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools like word processing and spreadsheets.
  • A positive attitude and professional demeanor. You show up ready to work with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Physical capability for the role. This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
What You'll Need:
  • Work Requirements: Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally in both indoor and outdoor environments, rain or shine.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Ability to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Perks and Benefits For Full Time Employees:
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy a well-rounded benefits package that covers your health, wellness, and financial future.
  • Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to relax and recharge with our PTO plan.
  • Free Golf Privileges: Tee off at some of the most iconic courses in the world with complimentary golf access.
  • Quarterly Incentives: When our team meets resort-wide performance goals, we get rewarded.
  • Complimentary Lunch: Stay energized with a complimentary lunch in our Staff Cafe during your shift.
  • Resort Discounts: Save on dining and merchandise throughout the resort.
  • Supportive Work Environment: Be part of a team that supports your growth and success, with opportunities to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Career Growth: Take advantage of continuous training and development opportunities to advance your career.
If you seek a challenging and rewarding role where teamwork and exceptional service are valued, we encourage you to apply for the Caddie Supervisor position at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Join our team and be a part of creating unforgettable experiences for our guests!
