Responsibilities

Bruker Energy and Supercon Technologies (Bruker EST) is the world leader in the production of superconducting wires. For more than 50 years, our high performance superconductors have met the needs of healthcare, academic and industrial organizations worldwide, helping drive new discoveries in the clinical and pharmaceutical sectors, including the breakthrough technology of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanning, advanced materials science, and sustainable energies.  

This position is with Bruker OST, a business unit of Bruker Energy and Supercon Technologies located in Carteret, NJ.  We manufacture advanced superconducting wires (like RRP and NbTi) used to build MRI machines, scientific research magnets, and high-energy physics applications.

Bruker OST is seeking a Senior Planner with primary responsibility for developing and managing capacity, production and material plans to insure timely delivery of orders, which meet target inventory levels and maintain continuity of supply to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer demand planning and forecasting by translating customer requirements into SAP, maintaining forecasts, analyzing demand changes, and assessing impacts on production schedules.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication, timely execution of requirements, and efficient material flow throughout the value stream.
  • Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by maintaining planning tools, analyzing supply and demand requirements, and providing recommendations to align production capacity with customer needs.
  • Create, schedule, and manage work orders from release through closeout, optimizing material utilization, machine efficiency, workforce productivity, and timely completion of aged orders.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules and priorities by setting work center targets, managing value stream schedules, coordinating inspection activities, and minimizing disruptions to throughput.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and material control through cycle counts, physical inventories, discrepancy investigations, MRP review, and corrective actions to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Utilize SAP and related production systems to generate work instructions, pro forma invoices, pick lists, labels, kit maps, and other documentation supporting manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous operational improvement and compliance by managing system changes, supporting MRB dispositions, analyzing incident impacts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in planning, operations, supply chain or related experience
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP systems and the use of various information systems as a management tool. Experience with SAP is required.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify critical issues.
  • Ability to prioritize issues to support the customer and supply chain
  • Systems thinking aptitude; able to determine the impact of actions on other areas of the business.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $78,750 and $130,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
