Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg

Location: Leon, Iowa

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation

  • Pay Range: Up to $40/hour (based on experience)

  • Additional shift differential available

Sign-On Bonus / Education Support

  • Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus or Tuition Reimbursement

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and treatments

  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Monitor and document patient progress

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management

  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and hospital protocols

Schedule & Shifts

  • Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (~36 hours)

  • Opportunities to pick up additional shifts with incentives

Department & Patient Details

  • Primary need: Med-Surg, with opportunity to train on ED

  • Patient ratio: Typically 1:5 or less

  • Facility includes 11 Med-Surg beds

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (or ability to obtain)

  • BLS, ACLS required

  • PALS required (for ED; can be obtained if transitioning)

  • ADN or BSN accepted (BSN preferred)

  • ED experience not required - training available

  • Experience in Med-Surg or similar setting preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
