Posting Summary
Our group is seeking a postdoctoral associate to work on mechanistic and translational research projects funded by NIH investigating drug-induced kidney injury and identifying factors that influence the likelihood of drug toxicity/failure. Based at Rutgers University in New Jersey, the Brunetti team has access to outstanding core facilities, dynamic researchers and trainees, and excellent opportunities for career development. State-of-the-art Core Facilities are available for Genomics, Genetics, Proteomics, Imaging, Histopathology, Analytical Chemistry, Flow Cytometry, and Cell Sorting, High
Content Imaging, Gene Editing, and Biostatistics. Postdocs can become members of various professional and social networks of trainees fostering peer support and inter-laboratory collaboration and participating in the pharmaceutical sciences conference series. available immediately to study molecular mechanisms of disease and the influence of acute illness on drug disposition and outcomes. Applicants must have Ph.D. plus strong expertise in molecular biology, cell culture, mammalian cellular/in vivo biology, and gene transcription/ regulation. Applicants having RNA sequencing and LCMS experience will be a plus.

Minimum Education and Experience
Candidates should have a PhD in pharmaceutical or biomedical sciences, including pharmacology/toxicology, biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, physiology, etc.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates should be highly motivated and hard-working scientists capable of effectively working on independent and team projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Experience in cell and molecular biology is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Equipment Utilized
qPCR, LCMS, Luminex Magpix, Agilent Extracellular flux analyzer (Seahorse). Opportunity to work with state-of-the-art pharmacokinetic modeling software programs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The primary work location is within the Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutics at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. The work environment spans two laboratory spaces and access to an animal laboratory. Also, opportunities to work in clinical research space.
