Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Battery Service Technician to repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers in the field. The starting pay for this position is $20-$24/hour plus a company vehicle with potential increases regularly. We also offer generous benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 9 paid holidays, paid vacation time, 40 hours of paid sick time each year, and a SIMPLE IRA plan with match. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BATTERY SERVICE TECHNICIAN

As a Battery Service Technician, you are the face of our company. You go out into the field to service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers. With your outstanding customer service skills, you keep customers informed about the work being done and notify them of any additional costs involved. You also communicate with other team members to ensure expert service. Your favorite part of the job is seeing the appreciative smile on each client's face after you solve their forklift battery and/or charger problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical

Electrical and forklift experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate! Do you have strong communication and interpersonal skills? Are you a customer service rockstar? Do you have exceptional critical thinking skills? Are you able to work independently? Can you follow safety protocols? If so, you may be perfect for this position!
WORK SCHEDULE

The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
