What You'll Be Doing (Your Responsibilities)
  1. Processes a wide variety of transactions for members including, but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, payroll adjustments, bank checks, gift cards, VISA cash advances, IRA deposits/withdrawals in accordance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.
  2. Perform all sales and services activities necessary to meet the assigned quarterly goals while creating an exceptional member experience. Focused on relationship deepening by creating member interest in additional products and services.
  3. Originates and closes all loan types via direct member contact, telephone, mail, and fax applications. Uses loan processing system to create approved documents for funding and disbursement. Ensures that all conditions for approval are met, obtains all required documentation, and disburses loans via direct member contact or mail. Demonstrates full knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations and laws.
  4. Uses sound judgement and interpersonal skills to effectively assist members.
  5. Demonstrate willingness and openness to coaching while striving for excellence in sales and service execution.
  6. Maintain knowledge of all products and services offered by the Credit Union including but not limited to periodic promotional offerings.
  7. Promotes, refers, and sells additional third party products as determined by the Credit Union.
  8. Handles openings and closing of all account types and completes all proper documentation.
  9. Balances cash drawer and makes settlement of the day's activities in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
  10. Answers telephones, provides information and/or directs caller to appropriate department/employee.
  11. Participates in balancing ATM, under dual control, as necessary.
  12. Adheres to all aspects of the Credit Union Bank Secrecy Act policy and procedures.
  13. Ability to work some Saturdays during the month and occasionally provides temporary coverage in alternate locations for an unplanned absence situation.
  14. Works towards achieving sale/service goals by attending department meetings, on-on-one meetings, and product knowledge and selling skills training on an ongoing basis.
  15. Performs additional duties as requested.

What We’re Looking For (Your Qualifications)

  1. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. One year of previous teller experience preferred with a satisfactory balancing record.
  3. Basic math skills; familiarity with keyboard/personal computer; customer/member service skills; effective written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills and data entry skills required.
  4. Must have excellent cross-selling and problem solving skills.
  5. Strong desire to work with the general public.
  6. Flexibility of work hours and proven reliability/dependability required.
  7. Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and must maintain registration with NMLS as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
  8. Must have a valid drivers license for coverage of retail branches.
  9. Bilingual preferred.
