Job Summary:

Million Air Lubbock is seeking a skilled and motivated Avionics Technician to join our dedicated avionics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, installations and alterations on a variety of general aviation aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft electronics and electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, can read and follow wiring digrams and a commitment to safety

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ICA inspections, avionics installations, IFR & RVSM certifications. 
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical system malfunctions.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), manufacturer's manuals, service bulletins, and company policies and procedures.
  • Accurately document all work performed, including parts used, discrepancies found, and corrective actions taken, in aircraft logbooks and maintenance records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and accounted for.
  • Communicate effectively with pilots, customers, and other avionics personnel regarding aircraft status and avionics findings.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and practices.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen

Qualifications:

  • Has held a repairman's certificate or equivalent for avionics. 
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience with electronics or avionics installation, in general aviation is strongly desired.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including airframe structures, engines, propellers, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, landing gear, and environmental control systems.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to get a repairman's certificate.
