Cirrus Logic's Mixed-Signal Product Division is seeking a passionate and experiencedAudio Applications Engineerto supportthe launch of our cutting-edge automotive audio amplifier products. This is more than just a technical role - it's an opportunity to be part of a company that values innovation, execution and teamwork.In this role, you'll collaborate with a world-class group of engineers who are driving innovation in next-generation audio amplifier solutions for automotive applications.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct engineering support to customers to ensure the successful integration and optimization of Cirrus Logic's advanced audio amplifier solutions.
  • Support the design and review of customer's PCB schematics and layouts
  • Conduct customer-application focused circuit analysis and data collection
  • Travel to customer sites to support design-in and debug activities
  • Lead the design of the customer development boards for new audio products
  • Develop product collateral such as application notes, reference designs and demos
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams during the product development. This includes working with IC Design engineers, Systems engineers, Validation engineers, Test Engineers, Software engineers, and others
  • Support the Marketing and Sales teams during the product promotions and conferences
  • Collaborate with the Systems team on the definition of new products and features
  • Lead technical trainings for customer and field teams
  • Autonomously handle and prioritize tasks with strong sense ofownershipand high sense of urgency

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of Applications or Systems Engineering experience supporting audio products
  • Experience with audio amplifiers and power electronics
  • Proven experience debugging customer system level issues
  • Strong hands-on experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with labequipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, Audio Precision analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience with PCB schematic and layout design, including component selection
  • Demonstrated aptitude in understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, I2S or high speed control/data bus
  • Familiarity with scripting/programming language such as Pythonor similar
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Effective interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience withautomotive standards(e.g., AEC-Q100,ISO 11452,ISO 26262,ISO 7637,ISO 16750)
  • Extensive experience debugging hardware and software issues
  • Proficient in writing MATLAB and Python scripts
  • Understand audio signal processing algorithms and techniques
  • Experience with audio analysis software, MATLAB, and/or Excel mathematical analysis
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and customer
  • Passion for Audio technology
  • Proven experience working in a fast paced environment
