Job description

Medical Assistant – Busy Pain Management Office

We are a very busy Pain Management office looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate must be a strong team player, able to multitask, adapt quickly, and assist wherever needed throughout the office.

This position may require floating between different areas of the office, so flexibility and a positive attitude are a must.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Patient intake and rooming patients
  • Taking and documenting vitals
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Performing HRV testing
  • Entering patient information into athenahealth / athenaOne
  • Assisting providers and staff as needed
  • Maintaining organized patient flow in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicating clearly with patients, providers, and team members
  • Filling in where needed to support daily office operations

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience with athenahealth / athenaOne is a plus
  • Pain management experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must be prompt, reliable, and professional
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office
  • Willingness to float and help in different areas when needed
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work well as part of a team
