Job Description
Title: Desktop Engineer
Location: Hopewell, NJ
Type: Fulltime// Permanent
Compensation: Base Salary + Benefits

End Customer: Banking Domain
Job Description:
1. Develop desktop solutions for various project and operational needs.
2. Work with Engineering and TI partners to build new / rebuild existing workstations in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
3. Install, configure and dev certify the patches identified to be deployed on production workstations addressing security vulnerabilities
4. Develop and maintain installation/configuration of desktop framework.
5. Contribute to and maintain standards in managing solutions.
6. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
7. Perform daily monitoring, reporting and tracking to completion of defects that are assigned to the group
8. Track platform related products and perform certification to promote to production
9. Provide Tier III/other support per request from various support teams.
10. Manage lab inventory for project needs and business as usual activities.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.
2. Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft
3. Application packaging experience is required
4. Experience in managing configurations for tools like Aternity is desired
5. Exposure to application programming in C# or developing ASP.net web application is required
6. 8 to 10 years system administration experience
7. 2 to 4 years of C# and XML experience
