Job Description

What You Get To Do:

Serving under Production leadership, the Assembly Technician I provides hands-on technical expertise to properly assemble and manufacture linear lighting applications. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to comply with basic safety practices and procedures.

We are looking to hire a Full-Time Assembly Technician I. The core hours for this position will be Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The pay is $20.50/hour.

Challenge Yourself - The Specifics:

  • Assists with implementing projects of customized LED components/and or systems
  • Performs a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks
  • Follows established procedures and guidelines to check, test and inspect finished goods before they are shipped from the distribution center to the customer
  • Conducts tests on electrical function, reliability and packaging quality and record results
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents and Mindset, Including Many of the Following:

  • High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of relevant experience or equivalent experience and training are required 
  • Ability to safely use various metrology tools equipment including but not limited to, calipers, handheld photometer, and a multimeter for purposes of evaluating product conformance
  • Ability to strategize, plan, organize, prioritize, and execute a variety of multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner: organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
  • Work with low voltage electricity
  • Knowledge of quality best practices that can be applied in the company's environment, preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of continuous improvement, ISO regulations a plus, preferred
  • Knowledge of LED's, LED drivers, controls, basic lighting terminology, photometry, and applications, preferred
  • Knowledge of test equipment including multimeters, calipers, and handheld photometers, preferred
  • Operate and maintain modern office equipment, including computer equipment and specialized software applications programs
  • Use tact, initiative, prudence, and independent judgment within general policy, procedural, and safety guidelines
  • Effectively communicate in person, over the telephone, and in writing in English
