We design, build, and operate Special Event Vehicle tours for a variety of campaigns; mobile product marketing, command & control, disaster relief, corporate hospitality, mobile medical, and more.

Who We Want
SPEVCO is hiring a full-time Class A CDL Driver / Specialty Vehicle Operator. Do you have CDL Class A driving experience? Do you love to travel? Do you have exceptional client service skills? Do you have experience in brand activation and/or experiential marketing? If so, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Really Be Doing
Driving is just the beginning of this position. Spevco's Class A CDL Drivers / Operators are transporting and operating one-of-a-kind, custom exhibits in support of our clients' marketing, brand activation, and disaster relief goals.
  • Safely driving Class A Vehicles from one event site to the next.
  • Setting the stage for an awesome brand experience by preparing mobile exhibits (set up and tear down) for festivals, races, fairs, private events, and disaster relief exercises, from N.C. to California and beyond.
  • Using your best judgment and asking questions when something might not make sense
  • Always following safety guidelines
  • Having fun in the process

What You Get Paid
Compensation is salary and is dependent on your experience in our unique industry. In addition to salary, our CDL Drivers receive a healthy per diem while on the road.

The Nitty Gritty Requirements and Preferences
  • Positive energy, leadership, and integrity - these always come first
  • Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record
  • 2 years Class A driving experience, strongly preferred
  • Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
  • Experience with moving and setting up custom expandable trailers, strongly preferred
  • Understanding of DOT compliance, logs, hours of service, and safety, required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client service skills and a desire to help our clients achieve their goals
  • Comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and technological problems with Spevco's expert support
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently for long periods of time
  • Computer skills - Ability to use a tablet computer (Android-based), email, MS Excel, electronic logs
  • Willingness to maintain a clean vehicle and exhibit
  • Strong safety mindset and willingness to be part of and promote our safety culture
  • Team player who can also perform without supervision

Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 50-100 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, lift, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
