Lead Delivery Driver (Non-CDL)

Location: Langley, BC
Starting Rate: $21.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 am start; Some weekends (based on route and business needs)

Role Summary

Are you a reliable, safety-conscious driver with a customer-first mindset? Join Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. as a Lead Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) and take the wheel in one of the most essential roles in our distribution network. In this full-time position, you'll be responsible for assisting with all operation activities within the cross-dock including delivering top-brand aftermarket automotive, RV, and marine parts and accessories directly to our customers, providing friendly, dependable service, manually loading and unloading delivery trucks, verifying parts loaded and unloaded, and collecting payments from customers.   • Hourly raises of up to $0.50/hour available at 60 days, 6 months, and 1 year based on performance

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a company vehicle (a 15 ft. or larger box truck) in a safe, courteous manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents.
  • Safely operate PIT equipment to load/unload shuttle and delivery vehicles
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Keystone with professionalism and integrity
  • Verify orders and communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
  • Drive to the delivery destination and physically unload the truck, verify theparts unloaded, and obtain thesignature of thereceiving location confirming theaccuracy of theparts delivered.
  • Collect accounts receivable, as necessary.
  • Assist with procedures to meet deadlines, as needed.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety standards, policies and procedures.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Running cross-dock operations when the Cross-dock Manager is off.
  • Providing/coordinating assistance for drivers out on runs.
  • Assist with keeping the company fleet maintained.
  • Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work. May set priorities, schedule and review work, but have no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance and/or make pay decisions.
  • Train other drivers.
  • Support Manager to lead all delivery personnel, and assign duties daily.
  • Observe workers to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Have no motor vehicle violations within the last 24 months.
  • Must meet Department of Transportation testing and physical requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable of DOT regulations as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional computer training is desired.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
  • Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect one'sown job or assigned functional area.
  • Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.
  • Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive a vehicle most of the time.
  • Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods; use hands to operate machinery.
  • May need to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
  • Frequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust.
  • May occasionally wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • May be exposed to extreme temperatures, extreme lighting, and high noise levels.
  • Daily travel is required and overnight travel may be necessary.
  • May need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
