Job description

Industry: Airfield Electrical Construction | Airport Infrastructure
Location: Southeast U.S. (Travel-Based)
Travel: 90-100%
Type: Direct Hire

TRC has partnered with our client to identify an Airfield Electrical Superintendent to oversee airfield electrical construction projects throughout the Southeast. This role is responsible for managing field operations, crews, safety, quality, scheduling, and project execution in active airport environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day field operations on airfield electrical projects.

  • Manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and schedules.

  • Oversee installation of airfield lighting, signage, navigational aids, underground conduit, duct banks, and electrical distribution systems.

  • Ensure compliance with FAA, NEC, OSHA, and project requirements.

  • Conduct jobsite meetings, safety inspections, and quality control reviews.

  • Coordinate with airport authorities, engineers, inspectors, and contractors.

  • Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and project records.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of electrical or construction experience.

  • 3+ years of superintendent or supervisory experience.

  • Experience with underground utilities and infrastructure projects.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred

  • Airfield lighting or airport electrical construction experience.

  • Journeyman Electrician license.

  • FAA project experience.

  • Heavy equipment operating experience.

Travel
  • 90-100% travel required.

  • Overnight travel and extended project assignments are expected.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and airport closure schedules as needed.
