About the Position

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer III – Airfield Electrical to join our growing Professional Design Services team in the following offices: Peachtree Corners, GA; Atlanta, GA; Kennesaw, GA; Savannah, GA; Columbia, SC; Jacksonville, FL; Huntsville, AL; Mobile, AL; Denver, CO.

The ideal candidate will bring 4–8 years of experience in electrical engineering design with exposure to airfield lighting systems, aviation infrastructure, or related electrical infrastructure projects, and is eager to continue growing technically within a collaborative team environment.

In this role, the successful candidate will support and contribute to the design of FAA-compliant airfield electrical systems, including runway and taxiway lighting, airfield signage, navigational aids (NAVAIDs), and associated power distribution systems. The engineer will work alongside senior technical leaders and multidisciplinary teams on projects across multiple airports and geographies, gaining hands-on experience in airfield lighting, medium-voltage distribution, grounding systems, and airside electrical infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to expand technical expertise, increase project responsibility, and continue developing within the aviation electrical engineering field. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting projects through multiple phases of design and construction.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
  • 4–8 years of experience in electrical design, preferably with exposure to airfield lighting, transportation, utility, or aviation infrastructure projects
  • EIT certification required; PE license or progress toward licensure strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars (e.g., AC 150/5340 series), ICAO standards, or aviation electrical design criteria preferred
  • Experience or exposure to constant current regulator (CCR) systems, series lighting circuits, ductbanks, grounding systems, and power distribution systems preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Civil 3D; familiarity with airfield lighting design tools is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams and support project deliverables across multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and willingness to learn from senior engineers and project managers
  • Ability to manage priorities, multi-task, and produce high-quality technical work in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to continue growing expertise in aviation and airfield electrical engineering
